ABOUT THE BAKER
It all started with a $600 Nintendo cake quote from a famous fancy bakery in Baltimore. Even though it was totally worth it, I couldn’t afford that, so I decided to make it myself. One cake decorating class and several You Tube videos later, I created a masterpiece; not really but my friend really enjoyed his cake and I was hooked.
I began to teach myself how to bake and decorate cakes. Later, I decided that I wanted to learn about pastries as a whole and enrolled in the Baking and Pastry program at Anne Arundel Community College. There, not only did I learn how to make cakes, but I learned how to create chocolates and confections, cookies, and breads.
After completing my program, I hit the ground running. I worked in various bake shops and restaurants in the DC Metro area learning and honing my skills as a pastry chef.
When I’m not creating edible works of art, I’m spending time with my husband John, our young daughters Camryn and Torrei, our cat Doobie, and goldfish Caillou.
